January 8, 2012: Tebow time?

Its been over a week since I vowed to update this thing on a regular basis.  Let me tell you something.  Mountain Cedar sucks a big one.  If you have ever been plagued by it, you know what I'm talking about, or really if you are plagued by any allergy.

Now that I'm starting to be able to breathe again I am starting to get myself organized and caught up on a few things here.

I've applied for my real estate broker's license.  I guess since TREC decided to make things a lot more of a pain to obtain a broker's license, it pushed me to get it done.  Now I have a year to take care of all of the requirements.  Good luck Adam!

Becky has been sick all week with pretty much the same thing as me.  However, my immune system is a powerpacked one, so I have at least been able to function in life.  Becky, stuck in bed all week being sick and miserable.  I tried to be a good husband and take care of her.  I did an allright job.  I think.

Steelers Touchdown!  Take that Tebow!  (See I needed to put something in my title to help get me hits.  Tebow is God's chosen son right? )  I'm actually amazed that someone who throws so bad has gotten so much publicity and is actually starting in the NFL.  Maybe Denver will fully implement the option game next year instead of the half assed approach they took this year.

Went to my first Spurs game this season, it was fun.  Danny Green looks good.  Spurs just gave up a dunk in their current game.  That was bad.  Boner got a jumper.  Enough running commentary on the game.  I enjoy going to Spurs games, you are able to really see what players do and I always enjoy focusing in on Pop.  Pop had a fun animated game on Wednesday.  Hadn't seen him like that in quite a while, so that was very nice to see.

As I watched the Iowa election returns the other night, I was amazed that a Rick Santorum who is by and large a nut was able to make as many inroads in as short a time as he did.  It tells me a couple of things.  Iowans are crazy.  The Republican field is very shitty. I should disclose. I am Catholic.  Rick Santorum is Catholic.  I WILL not be voting for Rick Santorum.  I try to respect all people and this is going to slide off into some type of tangent, but I dont get my fellow Catholics that are one issue voters with that issue being abortion. Yes, I'm personally against abortion.  However, there is no state religion in the United States of America.  So from a legal standpoint, it makes sense, especially if there has never been a formal declaration of when life begins that both Christian and non Christian can agree upon.  If we can come up with some type of definition (perhaps being when a baby can sustain life outside the womb), then we can definitively say when an abortion is legal and when it is not. Again, from a personal standpoint, abortion is morally and ethically wrong at any point.  I waver on those that harm the life of the mother, but in all normal circumstances, 100% against it.  But from a state standpoint, the Constitution was created and the founding fathers did so with no state religion.  Sure this nation was found with a Christian basis to it, but there needs to be a separation of Church and State.  Rick Santorum's idol, Ronald Reagan stressed this, but since Republicans by and large want to invoke Reagan all the while completely ignoring what his policies were, is both comical and ironic.  By the way Joe Biden is Catholic.  Why not the complete fawning over him because he is in the second most powerful office in this nation.  Oh yes, because he sees the separation of church and state as a good thing.  Back to Iowa, 8 votes determining who won is just unreal.  Wow.

This afternoon, I was looking a little closer at Ron Paul.  I'm intrigued by him.  I need to really look at him closer.  I've come to realize there is not one candidate I will agree with fully.  I like a lot of what I was reading today about him.  I'm not in favor of eliminating the FED, nor some of the Cabinet posts he proposes to eliminate, but a lot of the other stuff makes a hell of a lot of sense.  I'll be reporting back on this soon.

I need to find additional oil and gas clients. If you are an oil and gas company and need someone to do some quality title work in South Texas, look me up.  I"ll do title around virtually anyone else you can find.  And I'll guarantee you that.

I also need to find some houses to sell.  If you are looking to sell one of those, look me up also, we'll work out a really sweet deal.  And if you are looking to buy a house, I'll help you find one, I'll make you a sweet deal too.  Seriously, I will.  Try me.  Retail service at wholesale prices!
